ASEAN Naval Live Exercise

The opening ceremony was attended by naval leaders from ASEAN countries and China.

Vietnamese Ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi and Rear Admiral Pham Manh Hung, Deputy Commander of the Vietnamese Navy, attended the opening ceremony.

ACMEX 2018 was co-hosted by the Singapore Navy (the ASEAN Chair in 2018) and the Chinese Navy.

The ACMEX 2018 program included: exercises at the dock (military medical workshop, diving specialist workshop) and exercises on the training ground and maps at the command post of the South China Sea Fleet Base.

A live-fire exercise on search and rescue and maritime security in the region took place on October 25th and 26th in the sea area east of Zhanjiang city.

Following the opening ceremony, the navies of the countries participating in ACMEX 2018 collaborated on planning and agreeing on the training modules at sea, as well as safety rules and information content for the live-fire exercises.
