"Village in the City" is a new film by VFC directed by Meritorious Artist Nguyen Mai Hien.
The film is a sequel to "Street in the Village," which aired previously, but it stands independently with a completely new storyline and many characters not present in the previous season.
The series is currently airing up to episode 10, and the actors and crew are still filming.
A scene from "Village in the City".
In episode 10 of "Village in the City," Hoai (Tran Van) is ridiculed and insulted by her colleagues, causing her great distress, so she wants to meet with the factory manager to explain the situation.
This guy had the intention of molesting Hoai, so he arranged to meet her in his office, closed all the doors, and tried to molest her. But just then, Hung (Tien Loc) appeared, so the guy couldn't do anything.
Hoài was upset and crying to Hùng, so he comforted her in a somewhat intimate way. Just then, Hiếu (Duy Hưng) arrived at the workshop to bring a raincoat to his wife and witnessed the scene, so he rushed in and attacked Hùng, causing a commotion in the workshop.
In the review of episode 11 of "Village in the City," Hieu decides to go and confront Hoai's (Tran Van) perverted boss to resolve the issue of his wife being sexually harassed.
Duy Hung's portrayal of Hieu in "Village in the City".
In the VTV Connect program, actor Tiến Lộc recounted how Duy Hưng punched a hole through the wall during this scene.
"We had no idea the wall behind us was made of plaster. Meanwhile, the scene required intense acting and realistic performance to create a strong sense of authenticity for the audience."
"You can see Duy Hung was sweating a lot, and so was Tran Van. I myself accepted being hit and falling down as realistically as possible," the actor recalled.
According to the shared behind-the-scenes video , the altercation between Hieu, Hung, and Hoai was witnessed by extras and attracted the attention of everyone around.
Tien Loc said that Duy Hung threw things at him and his face about 5-6 times from different camera angles.
"The biggest surprise was Duy Hung throwing things for the first time, because there were no such situations during rehearsals. I feel sorry for the later scenes because I was in a defensive position," Tien Loc said.
Meanwhile, Duy Hung shared that the act of throwing things was a spontaneous outburst of the character Hieu's personality and thoughts at the time of filming.

Tran Van admitted that this was a difficult scene to film. "Sometimes it's just a short scene, lasting only a split second, but it's still very challenging. If you don't act skillfully and sensitively, you won't be able to convey the director's intentions," the actress expressed.
By the end of the scene, Duy Hung's shirt was drenched in sweat, Tran Van was almost exhausted, and Tien Loc's hand wound was bleeding after several collisions.
“It was a physically demanding segment for the cast. As Tiến Lộc shared, after being punched and falling through the wall, we ended up with scrapes and bruises all over our arms and legs. Under the 40-degree Celsius sun, we rehearsed our lines and ran through the cameras until the live shoot, which was quite exhausting. Indeed, it was a very tiring day for Duy Hưng and his fellow actors,” Duy Hưng recalled.
According to actress Tran Van, in the following episodes, viewers will see Hieu understand the situation, and the relationship between him and Hung will improve. When everything becomes clear, Hung will be exonerated and will no longer be criticized as he was in the first few episodes.
"No matter how difficult things get, all the characters in the film 'Village in the City' maintain an optimistic spirit. Hopefully, viewers will find this film a new source of entertainment," Tran Van emphasized.
