On August 17, actor Jet Li worried his fans when he posted a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed with a haggard face. On his personal page, he wrote: “Recently, I have gone through another extraordinary ordeal,” which made the audience feel heartbroken.

Born in 1963 in Beijing, Jet Li practiced wushu at the age of 8 and was dubbed a “martial arts prodigy” after winning a series of national championships. He entered the film industry in 1982 with Shaolin Temple , then reached international fame through works such as Wong Fei Hung, Hero, Huo Yuanjia, Dragon Gate Flying Sword …
In 2017, he also founded the martial art Kung Fu, developed from Tai Chi.
