Recently on her personal page, Lan Phuong said she had just received news that her ex-husband had appealed to the appellate court. "It has been 22 days since the first instance trial. During that time, I asked him if he intended to appeal and did not receive any answer.

Ahead is a long road: sleepless nights to collect evidence, to soothe the stress and fatigue within myself so that the next day I can be strong enough to take care of my children and do the work I love.

Even if I try not to think about it, my body will still tense up with anxiety. My children are still put in the middle and that is what bothers me the most. But it's okay, I still have to move on, still be myself and a loving mother who protects my children. My children need to grow up in a safe, free environment, no one has the right to use their emotions as a tool to achieve their goals."

Putting aside personal matters, Lan Phuong has just returned to the screen with a small role in the movie Death Battle in the Air and the role of Linh in Wind Across the Blue Sky currently airing on VTV3, co-starring with Doan Quoc Dam and Phuong Oanh.

Actress Lan Phuong officially divorced her Western husband and was given custody of their two children . After a four-hour trial with heated debate between both sides, her British husband, David Duffy, agreed to divorce Lan Phuong. The court ruled that the actress would be granted custody of their two children, but her Western husband still has 15 days to appeal.
