Suitable for practical needs
The city's Department of Construction has just adjusted routes, increased frequency, added vehicles with larger capacity and supported ticket price reductions for priority subjects (including officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers coming to work in the new Da Nang city) for 2 bus routes.
Specifically, bus route number 02: Central Bus Station - Da Nang City Administrative Center - Cua Dai and bus route number 21: Central Bus Station - Da Nang City Administrative Center - Tam Ky Bridge (Huong Tra ward).
The route is as follows: Bus route No. 02 is 46.7km long; departing from the City Center Bus Station via Nam Tran, Ly Thai Tong, Nguyen Tat Thanh, 3/2 Street, Tran Phu (Da Nang City Administrative Center), Nguyen Van Linh, 2/9 Street, Tien Son Bridge, Le Van Hien, Tran Dai Nghia, DT607 to Hoi An City (old) via routes Nguyen Tat Thanh, Hoi An Bus Station, Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Nhan Tong, Cua Dai, Au Co, Cua Dai Inland Waterway Wharf parking lot. Returning in the opposite direction.
Bus route No. 21 is 77.2km long, departing from the Central Bus Station via Ton Duc Thang, Hue intersection overpass, Dien Bien Phu, Nguyen Duc Trung, Tran Cao Van, Dong Da, Ly Tu Trong, Tran Phu (Da Nang City Administrative Center), Nguyen Van Linh, September 2 Street, Cach Mang Thang Tam, Ong Ich Duong, Cam Le Bridge, Pham Hung, National Highway 1, old Huong An Bridge... connecting Tam Ky bus station via Phan Boi Chau - Phan Chau Trinh - Tam Ky Bridge route. Return direction is the opposite.
This is the city's effort to promote public transport, reduce pressure on private vehicles, and provide practical support for officials, civil servants, and workers from Quang Nam province (old) to work in Da Nang and vice versa.
“The adjustment of the routes of these two bus routes will not only meet daily travel needs but also contribute to increasing regional connectivity between Da Nang and neighboring areas. The bus routes will have flexible operating hours, suitable for the working hours of agencies and businesses,” said the leader of the Department of Construction. Many people expressed their agreement with the expansion of this bus network.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, who lives in Tam Ky and currently works in Da Nang, shared: “I am very happy to know that there is a daily bus route, with a frequency of 15-20 minutes per trip from Tam Ky bridge to Da Nang city center and vice versa. Before, it took me more than an hour to ride my motorbike every day, now there is a bus which will save costs and be safer.”
Facilitate travel, reduce pressure on traffic infrastructure
Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Dang Nam Son said that through monitoring the operation of the routes, especially bus route number 21, there has been a number of passengers who are civil servants, public employees, and workers using public bus services to travel, contributing to reducing personal motor vehicles moving into the city center.

The bus travel time from Tam Ky route to the City Administration Center (stop at 12 Ly Tu Trong or City Administration Center Parking Lot) is approximately 2 hours.
In addition to merging bus routes, the Department of Construction has adjusted part of the route of bus routes 02 and 21 running through the city center, adding larger vehicles to enhance service during peak hours.
At the same time, increase service frequency during peak hours (5 minutes/trip for the route to Tam Ky, 20 minutes/trip for the route to Cua Dai), arrange stops near the parking area to help people combine parking their personal vehicles to transfer to use the bus service.
The Department of Construction requests that departments, branches, and sectors... coordinate and promote propaganda and announcements about the operation of bus route No. 02 and bus route No. 21 to civil servants, public employees, and workers of their units so that they can proactively choose means of transportation.
At the same time, coordinate with the Management Board of the Da Nang City Administrative Center Building to deploy support for registration and making monthly bus tickets at this building.
For agencies and units with headquarters outside the Da Nang City Administrative Center Building, please contact the Ticket Management Department, Intelligent Traffic Operation Center, phone number: 0236. 3722026 for support and instructions on registering for monthly bus tickets.
It is known that every day there are 64 bus trips 21 from the Central Bus Station to Tam Ky Bridge and vice versa; 72 trips from the Central Bus Station to Cua Dai and vice versa. Depending on the route distance, the ticket price ranges from 8,000 VND to 48,000 VND for regular passengers, from 6,000 VND to 36,000 VND for officials, civil servants and public employees. The price for students is 8,000 VND.
With monthly tickets, route 02 costs 700,000 VND/month for regular passengers; 490,000 VND/month for officials, civil servants, and public employees. Route 21 costs 850,000 VND/month for regular passengers; 600,000 VND/month for officials, civil servants, and public employees.
