5 AM 6. The police in Duc Hoa district (Long An province) said that authorities are investigating a fire that destroyed two workshops belonging to two businesses specializing in the production of plastics and household goods, causing significant property damage.

The fire occurred on the night of June 4th.

According to initial information, at around 9 PM on June 4th, residents of Duc Hoa Dong commune discovered a large fire breaking out in the warehouse and production workshop of two businesses specializing in the production of household plastic goods and plastic pellets in Hamlet 4, Duc Hoa Dong commune, Duc Hoa district (Long An province).

Upon receiving the report, fire trucks from the Duc Hoa District Industrial Zone and relevant authorities quickly arrived to extinguish the fire.

However, due to the flammable materials, the fire spread rapidly, and the units had to make strenuous efforts to control it, with the flames still smoldering inside for over 24 hours.

Authorities are currently sealing off the scene to conduct an investigation to determine the cause and assess the extent of damage to people and property.
