Investigation into deforestation in Gia Lai

On October 26th, the People's Committee of Kông Chro district ( Gia Lai province ) issued a document requesting relevant agencies to investigate the illegal deforestation that occurred in sub-area 788 of the Kông H'dé Forestry Company Limited in Sró commune.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Kông Chro district requested that the district's Forest Protection Department, in coordination with Kông H'dé Forestry Company Limited, urgently investigate and verify the perpetrators of deforestation in order to strictly handle them in accordance with the law.

In addition, the Kông H'dé Forestry Company Limited and the Sró commune authorities are requested to direct their forces to intensify patrols, maintain a firm grasp of the area, coordinate with control forces, and promptly detect, prevent, and handle illegal logging, transportation of forest products, and deforestation for slash-and-burn farming.

In addition to improving the effectiveness of disseminating and publicizing forestry laws, the People's Committee of Sró commune actively mobilizes people to participate in protecting and developing forests and reporting acts of encroachment on forest resources.

Previously, the district's Forest Protection Department discovered an illegal deforestation incident in Lot 2, Section 6, Sub-area 788, within the forest area of ​​Kông H'dé Forestry Company Limited, and reported it to the Kông Chro District People's Committee.
