On the afternoon of December 2, in Hanoi, the Central Steering Committee's working delegation on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity led by General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, had a working session with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Attending the meeting were comrade Bui Thanh Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs; members of the working delegation and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the working session, on behalf of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, summarized the results of leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of directive documents of the Politburo, Secretariat and Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.
Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that the Party Executive Committee has thoroughly grasped the Party's guidelines, policies and directives on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; issued many directive documents, plans and action programs on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.
Party Executive Committee members, Secretaries and Party Committees of some key units have clarified many issues on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in various fields, especially consulates, financial management and cadres.
Speaking at the working session, Comrade Bui Thanh Son, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs, assessed that the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since the beginning of the 13th tenure has had strong changes, becoming increasingly systematic, substantive and achieving many important results.
In the spirit of seeking knowledge, Comrade Bui Thanh Son assessed that this work still has shortcomings and limitations. In addition to promoting the achieved results, Comrade Bui Thanh Son requested that Party committees and authorities at all levels in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continue to resolutely implement the conclusions and directions of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; focusing on the fields of consular affairs, financial management, public assets, and personnel work; promoting administrative reform associated with digital transformation;
Comrade Bui Thanh Son suggested that the Party Committee Secretary absorb the opinions and conclusions of the Working Group to propose solutions to remove institutional obstacles to further improve the effectiveness of the implementation of anti-corruption, waste and negativity work, contributing to building and developing a strong, comprehensive, modern and professional diplomatic sector.

In his concluding remarks, Comrade General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, assessed that from 2022 to present, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has focused on leading, directing and seriously and effectively implementing the regulations of the Party and the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity with many diverse and practical forms, many breakthrough and fundamental measures, focusing on strengthening inspection, supervision, perfecting institutions and regulations in areas prone to corruption, waste and negativity such as financial management, public assets, personnel work, consular work, administrative procedure settlement, etc.
Awareness of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the Foreign Affairs sector about preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity has been increasingly raised, deepened, and become more complete.
To continue to do this work better, Comrade General Luong Tam Quang suggested that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continue to pay attention to: First , thoroughly grasp and disseminate to unify awareness throughout the diplomatic sector on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity in the new revolutionary period, the era of national development; soon make the practice of thrift and the prevention and combat of waste become the behavioral culture of cadres.
Second , continue to resolutely and effectively implement measures to prevent and combat corruption, waste and negativity that have been effective in recent times, absolutely not being lax or subjective; regularly raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees and organizations at all levels, in conjunction with strengthening leadership, direction, inspection, supervision, supplementing and amending mechanisms, policies and laws.
Third , promote administrative reform, streamline the apparatus, digital transformation, publicity and transparency in the operations of agencies and units; strengthen self-inspection and regular and continuous internal supervision to detect violations early and remotely, and prevent and combat waste.
