Nong Tien Ward was established on the basis of merging two administrative units: Nong Tien Ward, Trang Da Commune and Chanh 1 Village, Thai Binh Commune. After the arrangement, the ward has an area of nearly 27 ^km2 , with a population of over 15 thousand people.
