GD&TĐ - Captain Doãn Ngọc Tân tearfully bids farewell to Đông Á Thanh Hóa Club.

After round 25 of the V-League 2025/26, midfielder Doãn Ngọc Tân bid farewell to the team he had been with since 2019, a season marked by many ups and downs. A red card in the match against Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh meant the 32-year-old player was unable to participate in the final round of the season.

On his personal page, Ngoc Tan posted an emotional farewell letter to the Thanh Hoa team after many years of dedication: "6 years - 1 journey and many memorable memories," the captain and midfielder couldn't hide his nostalgia at having to leave the place that had been with him throughout the best years of his career.

"Ngoc Tan would like to express his gratitude to the club's leadership, coaching staff, doctors, employees, and all the players who have together created a united and resilient team. We have gone through many ups and downs and shared many beautiful memories together," Ngoc Tan wrote on social media.

“Ngoc Tan will deeply miss and cherish everyone's affection. This will be a great motivation for Ngoc Tan to constantly strive and improve himself,” the 32-year-old midfielder expressed before concluding with a touching message: “Goodbye and thank you so much here.”

Currently, there is much speculation that after leaving Thanh Hoa, Ngoc Tan will join The Cong Viettel – a team currently coached by his former mentor, Velizar Popov.

However, all of this is still just speculation; midfielder Doan Ngoc Tan and Viettel Club have yet to officially comment on the matter.

Doan Ngoc Tan has won two National Cup titles (2023, 2023/24) and one National Super Cup with Thanh Hoa Club. Wearing the Vietnamese National Team jersey, Ngoc Tan was a key player in the squad that won the ASEAN Cup 2024.
