Construction is scheduled to begin on December 22nd and be completed before January 22nd, 2026, according to the decision on emergency construction following the collapse of a section of the imperial citadel wall due to heavy rain and flooding.
According to the decision, Hue City will restore a section of the imperial citadel wall (partially collapsed) approximately 14.2 meters long and with an average height of about 4.3 meters. At the same time, it will reinforce and support adjacent sections of the imperial citadel wall to ensure security and safety.
The People's Committee of Hue City assigned the Hue Ancient Citadel Relics Conservation Center to carry out the project, with a total budget of 2.2 billion VND, from the Hue City budget.
