Besides the impacts on administrative structure and socio-economic development policies, the merger of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces has created favorable conditions for tourism businesses to build linked brands and achieve sustainable development. This, in turn, contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the localities on the national and international tourism map.
According to the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ta Anh Tuan, after the merger, Dak Lak is a relatively large province with a border stretching over 71 km and a coastline of 189 km. Therefore, the province has enormous potential for development. In particular, Dak Lak has favorable conditions for developing its marine economy . The development of tourism and services linked to forests, the sea, and cultural identity has been identified as one of the province's key economic sectors.

"Travel companies need to keep up with changes in administrative boundaries to adjust tours, routes, sightseeing programs, and how they present destinations to suit the new administrative map," said Mr. [Name] , Vice President of the Dak Lak Provincial Tourism Association. |
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Tourism Association, after the merger, the eastern and western parts of the province will perfectly complement each other, creating a diverse and complete tourism itinerary. While the western region is famous for its gong culture, vast forests, and unique traditional festivals, the eastern region attracts tourists with the pristine beauty of Ganh Da Dia (Disk Rock Beach), the tranquility of Xuan Dai Bay, and the salty taste of the sea. After the merger, tourists visiting Dak Lak can enjoy the golden sunshine and white sand beaches, then travel west to explore local culture and majestic nature. This is considered a golden opportunity for travel businesses to build continuous tours connecting destinations from the highlands to the plains, from mountains and forests to the sea. Tourism products that connect East and West will certainly create great appeal.
Furthermore, the consolidation of administrative boundaries also creates favorable conditions for tourism businesses to optimize their resources. Travel agencies, transportation companies, accommodation providers, and service providers can cooperate more closely, build closed supply chains, thereby improving service quality and reducing costs.
According to many tourism businesses, after the merger, the province will create conditions for transportation development through upgrading and investing in roads and railways, because developed transportation will help shorten travel time for tourists.

Taking advantage of the opportunities arising from mergers as well as the Party and State's policies on supporting businesses, many tourism businesses have recently taken steps to create leverage for connecting tours and routes, developing inter-regional products, improving service quality, and promoting the image of local tourism.
Mr. Le Trong Nam, Director of Ban Me Travel Investment - Trade and Tourism Services Co., Ltd., shared that in order to better connect destinations, the company has connected and worked directly with partner businesses in the East to create diverse and highly competitive tourism products. From there, the company will encourage tourists, especially local residents, to choose to travel within the province instead of other regions.

In the context of the post-merger province, Mr. Le Van Duc, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Tourism Association, stated that the tourism industry needs to be proactive and flexible to adapt. Travel companies need to promptly grasp changes in administrative boundaries to adjust tours, routes, sightseeing programs, and destination presentations to suit the new administrative map. Simultaneously, they need to promote tours to the East, highlighting unique and new features, and invest in improving the quality of products and services. More importantly, those involved in tourism activities need to work together to maintain the beautiful image of tourist destinations and the locality. Alongside improving product and service quality, it is necessary to ensure security, order, environmental protection, price stability, and value enhancement so that the tourism industry can develop sustainably.
Along with the efforts of businesses, localities with great tourism potential need to comprehensively review and reassess their tourism resource system after mergers to restructure products and develop or upgrade destinations. In addition, local authorities should closely coordinate with businesses in planning infrastructure, improving transportation connectivity, and promoting new inter-regional tourism products formed after mergers. The collaboration between the government and businesses will be key to effectively exploiting tourism potential, contributing positively to economic growth and sustainable development of the merged localities.
