Vietnamese Enterprise Wins First Prize in Southeast Asia's BIM Application Competition

Autodesk ASEAN Innovation Awards 2024 (AAIA 2024) is the leading prestigious competition in Southeast Asia on the application of building information modeling (BIM) and architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) solutions. The competition is organized annually by Autodesk - a leading American multinational corporation specializing in producing intelligent software for the industries of architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, industrial chains, multimedia graphics, etc.

The AAIA 2024 competition aims to recognize and honor the region's best units in applying Autodesk technology to industries towards the goal of digital transformation, innovation to solve challenges and improve work efficiency... The evaluation process is reviewed by a jury of industry experts, academics and senior leaders of Autodesk.

According to the announcement on July 29 by the organizing unit, to win the First Prize in the category of "Creative Enterprise of the Year", the design work of the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang Expressway project by Dai Phong Construction Design Consulting Joint Stock Company has excellently surpassed 150 other entries from units in 6 countries: Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, including units with many years of experience and reputation in this field.

Specifically, the BIM application contest in the design of the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang expressway project was implemented by Dai Phong Construction Design Consulting Joint Stock Company as a consulting unit participating in the project proposal. This is a highway project with a total length of 60km located in Lang Son province, connecting Huu Nghi border gate with the North - South expressway.

The project is invested under the PPP method with a total investment of 11,024 billion VND, implemented by the consortium of investors Deo Ca Construction Joint Stock Company - Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company - Construction Joint Stock Company 568 - Lizen Joint Stock Company led by Deo Ca. Winning the bid according to Decision No. 668/QD-UBND dated April 11, 2024 of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, the investor Deo Ca Group has proactively invested funds to pioneer the application of digital technology in design, construction and project management.

In this project, Dai Phong Construction Design Consulting applied digital technology, focusing on applying BIM in the technical design step to help control local site clearance, manage contractor progress and construction quality, optimize design, project implementation costs and especially help project enterprises plan with the general contractor and evaluate the responsibilities of consulting units, and prevent risks during the project settlement process.
