Young readers seek out literature and history books.

VTV.vn - To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country, many young people have sought out books written about this historical period.

These works not only provide knowledge but also convey humanistic values, patriotism, and national pride.

One positive sign is that literary and historical books still maintain their place, reflecting topical stories about life and society. Some works, such as "The Cards Are Stacked Against You," have been reprinted at the suggestion of young readers.

"The Cards Are Stacked Against You" is a remarkable espionage novel that portrays the character of Colonel Nguyen Thanh Luan, a soldier who navigates enemy territory with intelligence and courage. This book has been reprinted numerous times, a testament to its enduring popularity over the years.

Literature from the six southern provinces of Vietnam transports readers back to the folk culture of the South, from folk songs and rhymes to literary works from the resistance against the French. Not only professionals in the field, but also young readers find a deep connection to the memories of the South through these books.

Truong Hoang Uyen Phuong from Ho Chi Minh City shared: "What's special about this book is that it's very comprehensive and rich, showing the entire development process of Southern Vietnam's history."

These two publications were reprinted just in time for April 30th. Many young readers sought them out to revisit history, to relive the memories and spirit of a land where literature and history together preserved the soul of the nation.
