'Reading books - The ordinary yet great thing'

This was the topic of a seminar organized by the Department of Education and Training in collaboration with Tan Viet Culture and Education Joint Stock Company on the afternoon of April 21st. Over 200 officials and specialists from 9 education and training departments, as well as managers from preschools across the province, attended.

Teachers and staff listened to experts exchange and share experiences at the seminar.

This is a practical activity to commemorate Vietnam Book Day (April 21); it is an opportunity for educators and experts to exchange and share experiences and effective solutions in promoting reading culture in schools.

Attending the seminar, delegates heard education experts present scientific research on the close link between early reading and children's brain development; building a reading culture in schools... From there, the role of early reading in forming self-learning habits and exploring the world around them was clarified; while simultaneously building a reading culture and spreading the reading movement in schools. Teachers are the ones who inspire, guide, and accompany students on their journey of discovering knowledge through books.

Speaking at the program, the leader of the Department of Education and Training suggested that preschools in the province should foster a reading culture among children; inspire a love of exploring knowledge, help children actively engage with the world around them, and create a solid foundation for lifelong learning...
