'Reading - The Ordinary But Great Thing'

That was the topic of the Discussion organized by the Department of Education and Training in collaboration with Tan Viet Culture and Education Joint Stock Company on the afternoon of April 21. Attending were over 200 officers, specialists from 9 departments of education and training, and managers of kindergartens in the province.

Staff and teachers listened to experts discuss and share experiences at the seminar.

This is a practical activity to celebrate Vietnam Book Day (April 21); an opportunity for educators and experts to exchange and share experiences and effective solutions in promoting reading culture in schools.

Attending the Seminar, delegates listened to educational experts introduce scientific research on the close relationship between early reading and children's brain development; building a reading culture in schools... From there, clarifying the role of early reading in helping children form the habit of self-study and self-discovery of the world around them; at the same time building a reading culture and spreading the reading movement in schools. It is teachers who inspire, guide and accompany students on the journey of discovering knowledge through books.

Speaking at the program, the leader of the Department of Education and Training suggested that preschools in the province need to form a reading culture for children; inspire a love of exploring knowledge, help children proactively approach the world around them and create a solid foundation for lifelong learning...
