The 2020-2025 term marks a period of effort, creativity and breakthrough of the Party Committee, government and people of Tay Ninh province. Key project of Tan An City Belt Road

The important highlight of the term is the successful implementation of key projects and breakthrough programs, creating a strong shift in infrastructure, institutions, human resources and competitiveness of the province. Many completed large-scale traffic projects have expanded the development space, effectively connecting the Southeast region with the Mekong Delta, while breakthrough programs on administrative reform, human resources development, high-tech agriculture and tourism have contributed to improving the quality of growth, promoting the continuous improvement of people's lives.

"Breakthrough" from key projects

Typical projects include the completion of Tan An City Ring Road, Provincial Road 830E and Provincial Road 827E. These projects were invested in and deployed in areas previously belonging to the old Long An province; helping to form a continuous connection route from Ho Chi Minh City through Long An (old) to Tien Giang (old); strengthening the connection between the Mekong Delta with Ho Chi Minh City and other gateways of the region, reducing pressure on National Highway 1, National Highway N2, National Highway 50; creating a traffic connection axis from provincial roads with Ring Road 3, Ring Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh City. Thereby, contributing significantly to relieving traffic congestion on inner-city roads, strengthening traffic connections with the national road network and Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, connecting the province's industrial parks and clusters to Hiep Phuoc Port - Ho Chi Minh City, as well as Long An International Port; promote economic development, trade, create new development space for the whole region.

Breakthrough program – creating comprehensive transformation

Along with infrastructure investment, Tay Ninh has implemented many important breakthrough programs in various fields – from institutions, human resources, agriculture, infrastructure, to tourism – creating comprehensive changes in management, operation and social life.

Institutional breakthrough

The province has promptly advised on the issuance of resolutions and legal regulations after the merger, ensuring the smooth operation of the apparatus. The promotion of decentralization and delegation of authority, along with the establishment of a special working group to monitor the progress of task implementation, has helped promptly resolve difficulties for businesses and investors.

Thanks to that, the province's PCI, PAR INDEX, SIPAS, PAPI, DDCI indexes have all improved strongly over the years, especially PCI is always in the leading group in the country - proof of a transparent and dynamic investment environment.

Breakthrough in human resources

Tay Ninh focuses on building and implementing the Project on Developing High-Quality Public Sector Human Resources, issuing policies to attract, support training and fostering of cadres, civil servants and public employees. This program has attracted many young personnel with PhD, Master, Engineer and Bachelor degrees to work in the province.

In particular, vocational training linked to business needs in the fields of high-tech industry and agriculture, such as mechanical engineering, electronics, new material technology, quality management, rice cultivation techniques according to VietGAP - has contributed to improving productivity and the value of local products.

Agriculture continues to be the "mainstay" of the economy

Breakthrough in transport infrastructure

In addition to key projects, the province has also completed a series of works such as upgrading DT.824, Hung Vuong - National Highway 62 intersection (Tan An), extended road 790, DT.781, DT.793 - DT.792... contributing to the completion of the intra-provincial and inter-regional traffic network, creating a driving force to promote industrial - urban - service development.

Agricultural breakthrough

Tay Ninh focuses on developing high-tech agriculture, forming high-value production chains associated with processing and consumption; implementing sustainable farming models on key crops such as rice, vegetables, dragon fruit, lemon, dairy cows, etc. People have switched from traditional farming practices to using organic fertilizers, applying modern technology, helping the province's agricultural products achieve high productivity and quality, widely accepted by the market. Thanks to that, the agricultural sector continues to be the "pillar" of the economy, with an average growth rate of 3.64%/year.

Breakthrough in tourism

With many famous destinations such as Ba Den Mountain, Cao Dai Holy See, Dau Tieng Lake, Southern Central Office Base, Tan Lap Floating Village, Endless Fields..., the merged Tay Ninh - Long An has become an attractive destination in the region.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, Tay Ninh tourism has developed impressively, with rich products; the tourism industry has done a good job of exploiting and developing the potential and advantages of existing tourism resources; it is estimated that by 2025, the tourism industry will attract nearly 6 million visitors, with revenue reaching more than 2,700 billion VND. High-class tourism projects such as the Tay Bo Da Son Buddha Statue, the world's largest cable car station, and the world's largest sandstone Maitreya Buddha statue have contributed to bringing Tay Ninh tourism brand to the Asian level.

It is estimated that by 2025, the tourism industry will attract nearly 6 million visitors.

Orientation for the 2025-2030 term: Towards dynamic and sustainable development

Entering the new term, Tay Ninh sets the goal: "By 2030, Tay Ninh will have a dynamic and sustainable economic development; be a strategic connection center between the Southeast region and the Mekong Delta, a strategic trade hub with Cambodia; make breakthroughs in science, technology, digital transformation and green development; build a civilized and happy society."

Accordingly, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut said: "The province will continue to form North-South and East-West traffic axes, connecting industrial parks, clusters, border economic zones with seaports, airports, Ring Roads 3 and 4 of Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, focus on administrative reform, digital transformation, green transformation, development of high-quality human resources, creating breakthroughs in the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure."
