Innovation and creativity in high-quality journalism in the digital transformation.

On the morning of November 5th, in Tuy Hoa city ( Phu Yen province), the Vietnam Journalists Association, in coordination with the Phu Yen Provincial Journalists Association, organized the conference "High-Quality Journalism in the Context of Digital Transformation to Meet the New Requirements of the National Journalism Award Regulations and to Promote Sustainable Development in the Central and Central Highlands Regions". Attending the conference were representatives from central agencies, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and journalists' associations and media agencies from the Central and Central Highlands regions.

The conference was also organized to summarize and evaluate the results of implementation and share experiences in applying digital transformation to improve the quality of journalistic works in the process of implementing the Program to support high-quality journalism according to Decision No. 558/QD-TTg dated April 8, 2021 of the Prime Minister and Decision No. 348/QD-TTg dated April 6, 2023 of the Prime Minister approving the Strategy for Digital Transformation of Journalism until 2025, with orientation to 2030.

This also meets the new requirements of the National Press Award Regulations issued with Decision No. 50/QD-HDGBCQG dated June 21, 2024, of the National Press Award Council on the promulgation of the National Press Award Regulations (amended and supplemented); ensuring high-quality journalistic works associated with the goal of promoting sustainable development in the region.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi said that, in addition to the National Journalism Award, the Vietnam Journalists Association continues to receive attention and trust from the Prime Minister, who has assigned it the task of implementing the Program to support high-quality journalism at the central and local levels for the period 2021-2025.

As the focal agency for implementing the High-Quality Journalism Support Program, after nearly four years of implementation, the Program to support high-quality journalistic works at all levels of the Vietnam Journalists Association for the period 2021-2025 has achieved many successes in supporting journalists and the development of Vietnamese journalism.

During the implementation of the Program, many high-quality works that received funding support won the National Journalism Award and the Journalism Awards of localities, ministries, sectors, and organizations. In fact, the works that won high prizes (A, B, C) in the National Journalism Award over the years were all high-quality journalistic works that had received support.

At the conference, delegates presented their opinions and assessments on the achievements as well as the difficulties and shortcomings in the implementation of the High-Quality Journalism Support Program. They also proposed practical solutions to implement the High-Quality Journalism Support Program more effectively in the future.

The conference also heard shared experiences and suggestions from media agencies on digital transformation and the application of digital technology achievements in creating high-quality journalistic works that meet the needs of modern journalism and enhance communication capacity. This, in turn, contributes to achieving socio-economic development goals in the locality.

Later that afternoon, the conference focused on the theme: "Disseminating legal regulations and policies on the Association and improving the quality of advisory services in the work of the Central and Central Highlands Regional Journalists Association Office."
