After a useful training trip in Japan, coach Okiyama Masahiko continued to experiment with many personnel and tried many different tactical options to find the most optimal lineup for the team.
According to the plan, Luu Hoang Van, Thao Nguyen and their teammates will have another practice match with Thai Nguyen Women's Club tomorrow afternoon (August 1) before coach Okiyama Masahiko withdraws the list of 23 players to participate in the 2026 Asian Women's U20 qualifiers on August 3.
After a period of working with two young Vietnamese women's teams, preparing for international tournaments, coach Okiyama Masahiko said there is no big difference between the young women's teams.
“The team concept, competition model and training content are almost the same. We just adjust the training speed depending on the development of each team and their training intensity.
Based on the trend and style of modern football around the world , our football philosophy is “to be proactive, dynamic, and proactive in both attack and defense, while also competing on the opponent's field,” coach Okiyama Masahiko shared.
With the spirit of continuous effort and careful preparation, the Vietnam U20 women's team is gradually building a solid foundation to aim for higher goals in the international arena.
Each friendly match is not only an opportunity to test tactics, but also helps young players gain valuable experience, practice competitive spirit and team cohesion.
