On the morning of February 14, Mr. Nguyen Duc Vuong, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the spring crop production in the province. He was accompanied by leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial People's Committee Office.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Vuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, went to the fields to encourage farmers in Chau Giang ward (Duy Tien town).

The delegation inspected the spring rice planting in Chau Giang ward (Duy Tien town); the research and experimental camp specializing in testing and demonstrating new vegetable varieties (Bejo Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Nhan Khang high-tech agricultural zone, Ly Nhan district); the Tan Hoa irrigation and drainage canal, newly invested in solidification in Tieu Dong commune (Binh Luc).

At the inspection points, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development quickly reported on the situation of water collection, land preparation, and spring rice planting. Currently, the whole province has plowed 99.99% of the area, double plowed over 70% of the area, and planted rice reaching more than 20% of the area (rice is transplanted by machine on about 1,500 hectares). The application of science and technology to bring new plant varieties into testing and demonstration for application in the province's fields has been strengthened. Particularly, the Research and Experimental Farm (Bejo Vietnam Co., Ltd.) organized testing and demonstration of more than 30 new varieties of vegetables, tubers, and fruits, with nearly 150 types of products...

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Vuong highly appreciated the role of functional sectors, localities and units in implementing spring crop production, accelerating the application of scientific and technical advances and mechanization in the fields. At the same time, he suggested that localities should focus on taking advantage of favorable weather to sow spring rice in the best time frame; manage and operate the canal system well to meet the capacity to serve irrigation and drainage for the crop; continue to apply mechanization and new crop varieties to improve productivity and product quality...
