Efforts to open the main route on time

The project to upgrade Road 25B (section from Nhon Trach commune center to National Highway 51) and build Provincial Road 25C (from Provincial Road 19 to National Highway 51) are projects implemented by Dong Nai with the aim of connecting traffic from Long Thanh Airport to Ho Chi Minh City. These projects will be implemented in early 2025, with the goal of basically completing by the end of 2025 and putting into operation in the first half of 2026.

According to the plan, provincial roads 25B and 25C will connect Long Thanh Airport, via National Highway 51 to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City. From there, traffic routes connecting Long Thanh Airport with Ho Chi Minh City will be formed, contributing to reducing the load on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.

The projects to upgrade, expand and invest in the construction of provincial roads 25B and 25C have a total investment of more than 2 trillion VND.

According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, for the Provincial Road 25B Upgrade Project, up to now, there is 1 package under construction with the implementation value reaching nearly 17% compared to the signed contract.

Mr. Nguyen Linh, Deputy Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, said: For the Provincial Road 25B Upgrade Project, the target of opening the main route to traffic before December 19, 2025 is basically meeting the schedule. "Currently, about 3km is qualified for asphalt paving, however, due to unfavorable weather conditions, the asphalt paving of this section has been postponed."

The advantage of the Provincial Road 25B Upgrade Project is that currently about 70% of the land area has been handed over. In addition, the relocation of the technical infrastructure system is also being implemented to basically meet the schedule.

Meanwhile, for the Provincial Road Construction Project 25C, due to the small area of land handed over, it is not enough for the contractor to carry out construction items.

Complete site clearance work soon

According to Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha, Long Thanh Airport Phase 1 is expected to be put into commercial operation in the first half of 2026. The projects to upgrade Road 25B and build Provincial Road 25C aim to serve traffic connection for Long Thanh Airport Phase 1, so the completion progress cannot be delayed. Therefore, the problems in site clearance for these projects need to be resolved soon.

The projects to upgrade Road 25B and build Provincial Road 25C are being implemented in the communes of Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Phuoc An and Long Phuoc, Dong Nai province.

Regarding the Provincial Road 25B Upgrade Project, according to Mr. Tran Van Bay, Director of the Land Fund Development Center, Nhon Trach branch, the biggest difficulty and problem is that there are currently about 123 cases where the landowner has not been identified to carry out compensation procedures.

On the other hand, currently, the work of relocating the D600 water supply pipeline of Dong Nai Water Supply Joint Stock Company has not been completed to hand over the construction site.

For the Provincial Road 25C Construction Project, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board recommends that the Land Fund Development Center, Nhon Trach Branch and Long Thanh Branch, accelerate site clearance to hand over the entire project site in October 2025. From there, the unit will direct contractors to carry out construction work to ensure the project completion progress according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Tran Van Bay, Director of the Nhon Trach Branch of the Land Fund Development Center, said: With this project, there are still some households that have not agreed with the compensation price. Along with that, there are currently no specific regulations to fully calculate the policies, including compensation policies for crops and livestock of households in the project area. Therefore, the unit recommends that the Provincial People's Committee direct the relevant sectors to soon issue instructions to remove these obstacles.
