According to the Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center, Institute of Earth Sciences (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), on the afternoon of May 28th, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 was recorded in the Mang Den commune area, Quang Ngai province; the natural disaster risk level is 0.
Specifically, the earthquake occurred at 4:08:08 PM on May 28th ( Hanoi time) at coordinates 14.759 degrees North latitude; 108.263 degrees East longitude; and a focal depth of approximately 8.1 meters.
The earthquakes in this area have been classified by experts at the Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center as induced earthquakes. The forecast indicates continued earthquake activity in the area, but the magnitude is unlikely to exceed 5.5. However, detailed research is still needed to assess seismic activity in this region.
