The Faculty of Foreign Languages' Youth Union recently organized the "Green Sunday" program, with the participation of over 100 students. Students participated in collecting waste, planting flowers, etc. The "Green Sunday" program is organized by the Faculty's Youth Union 2-3 times per semester. Hoai Nhan said: "In the 'Green Sunday' program, we organize students to collect scrap paper, plastic bottles, etc. The money from selling the paper and plastic bottles is used to fund support for disadvantaged students and orphaned children. At the same time, we educate students about the spirit of saving, mutual support, and responding to the movement against plastic waste and protecting the environment. In addition, the Faculty's Youth Union also maintains the 'Youth Flower Garden' model, with activities such as planting and caring for flowers..."
Hoai Nhan actively directs and organizes volunteer activities for his beloved younger students. Every year, the Faculty of Foreign Languages' Youth Union and its affiliated branches regularly organize fundraising cultural and artistic activities to support disadvantaged children and students who overcome difficulties to excel in their studies. From the beginning of 2026 to the present, the Faculty of Foreign Languages' Youth Union has raised 22 million VND to support disadvantaged students. In particular, the Youth Union maintains the "Students Integrate" program, organized by students, which involves English communication activities for students in various schools.
For over a year as the Secretary of the Faculty of Foreign Languages' Youth Union, Hoai Nhan and the Executive Committee of the Youth Union have maintained the organization of sports activities, cultural performances, and activities to improve academic performance and scientific research … Phan Thi Kieu My, a student in the English Language major (high-quality program), cohort 48, said: “Mr. Nhan always accompanies students in Youth Union and Student Association activities. He cares for, encourages, and supports students with difficult circumstances; helps students improve their academic performance and training to achieve the title of “Excellent Student”. I and many of my friends in the Faculty of Foreign Languages often affectionately call him: Brother Hai.”
According to Hoai Nhan, the secret to attracting a large number of students to participate in Youth Union and Student Association movements lies in activities that are meaningful, help the community, are joyful, and build a friendly and united learning environment. The Standing Committee of the Faculty of Foreign Languages' Youth Union innovates its activities and movements every year to connect students, such as organizing experience-sharing sessions on applying artificial intelligence in learning; integrating cultural and artistic activities with campaigns to care for disadvantaged children and students…
In the coming time, the Faculty of Foreign Languages' Youth Union will continue to organize activities that are relevant to reality and in line with current trends in international integration; at the same time, it will organize exchange programs and share experiences in scientific research and the application of artificial intelligence in learning to help students develop their abilities. Hoai Nhan said: “We will organize exchange activities and connect with successful alumni in entrepreneurship to guide and suggest other paths for students after graduation. The Faculty's Youth Union is interested in programs and movements that help students achieve the title of "Excellent Student" and participate in volunteer activities inside and outside the university.”
