The emulation movement "The whole country joins forces to build new rural areas" for the period 2021 - 2025 is increasingly spreading, creating momentum in building new rural areas in Loc Ha ( Ha Tinh ).
An overview of the new rural development model in Thanh Tan and Quang Phu villages of Thach Chau commune.
Thach Chau commune has consistently been a leading locality in Loc Ha district in the New Rural Development movement. Over the past two years, the entire political system and the people in the area have enthusiastically participated in focusing on improving infrastructure, developing production, and increasing income (currently, the average per capita income is over 53 million VND/year).
The people of Thach Chau are responding to the "Nationwide efforts to build new rural areas" emulation movement for the period 2021-2025 by building model gardens.
Chairman of Thach Chau Commune People's Committee, Le Van Thong, said: "Over the past two years, Thach Chau has mobilized 87 billion VND to upgrade and complete the criteria towards achieving the model new rural commune standard, of which the commune budget and people contributed more than 66 billion VND."
Currently, we have completed the construction of 11/11 model villages and 1 smart village; the fields of culture, health, and education have developed comprehensively; political security and social order are maintained, the political system is strong; community spirit is strengthened, and democracy is promoted... The commune and district are completing the dossier to request the province to consider recognizing the commune as a model new rural area.”
Residents of Ho Do commune are tearing down fences and donating land to open roads in order to achieve advanced new rural commune status.
In response to the "Nationwide Campaign to Build New Rural Areas" for the period 2021-2025, localities in Loc Ha district have implemented flexible and appropriate tasks. Notable examples of successful implementation include the communes of Thach Chau (achieving 100% of the criteria for a model new rural area); Mai Phu (achieving 90% of the criteria for a model new rural area); Ho Do, Thinh Loc, Hong Loc, and Tan Loc (achieving 70-85% of the criteria for an advanced new rural area)...
Women in Phu Luu commune participated in labor to beautify the landscape and transport soil and sand to widen the road shoulders.
To spread the movement, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other mass organizations in the area have also actively collaborated in mobilizing members, affiliates, and all segments of the population to participate by concretizing it into movements and actions with their own unique characteristics.

Hong Loc district launches campaign to improve rural roads after the third land redistribution.
Mr. Phan Ba Ninh, an official from the New Rural Development Office of Loc Ha district, informed: “In implementing the movement “The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas” in the 2021-2025 period, Loc Ha has focused on overcoming difficulties, strengthening leadership and guidance, and building and promulgating appropriate and effective mechanisms and policies to implement the task of building new rural areas. All localities, departments, sectors, and organizations have actively responded with specific and clear actions, projects, and tasks, thereby creating a foundation and momentum to spread the movement further in the coming period.”
Mr. Phan Bá Ninh further informed: In the past two years, the entire district has developed 18 new production models, built 17 model residential areas, 79 model gardens, and added 3 OCOP 3-star products. All commune-level criteria have been upgraded, and all 9 district-level criteria have been completed. Hundreds of billions of VND have also been mobilized to build 73 km of rural roads, 30 km of drainage ditches and irrigation canals, 37 km of flower beds, and 22 km of open fences; build 4 new transformer stations and 14 km of power lines; upgrade 15 schools, 2 commune cultural centers, 16 village cultural centers, and 16 village sports areas; demolish 193 dilapidated houses and build 816 new standard houses...
