Dong Nai creates an environment connecting businesses and workers

This is a problem that needs to be solved not only by businesses, but also by relevant departments and branches as well as provincial leaders in the journey to attract and create a favorable investment environment for businesses to come to Dong Nai .

High demand for labor

According to the Department of Finance, by the end of May 2025, Dong Nai will continue to be a destination for domestic and foreign investors. Of which, attracting investment capital from domestic enterprises reached over VND 8.1 trillion with 31 projects; attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) reached over 100 projects with a total investment capital of over USD 1.2 billion. To date, Dong Nai has over 2.8 thousand domestic and foreign investment projects.

Investment projects in Dong Nai are mainly in the fields of semiconductor manufacturing, electrical and electronic components; mechanical engineering; textiles; production of prefabricated metal products, etc. There are no projects in the list of industries with risks of causing environmental pollution or labor-intensive; ensuring criteria on advanced technology; in line with the province's investment attraction policy.

Investors pouring capital into Dong Nai have always paid attention to the labor recruitment needs in the province, with close coordination between enterprises and labor suppliers, as well as local authorities. Compared to the same period in 2024, the labor utilization index in enterprises increased by nearly 5%. In particular, the demand in non-state enterprises and FDI enterprises increased at a high rate of 5-7.6%.

Le Thi Ngoc Trang, Human Resources Director of Tiger Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tiger VN), a company from Japan, said that Tiger VN specializes in manufacturing and trading household electrical appliances and household goods. Tiger VN has more than 600 workers; since the beginning of the year, the company has recruited about 200 unskilled workers.

According to Ms. Trang, most Japanese enterprises are currently in great need of more high-quality human resources to serve the production requirements of products in industries such as electronics, precision mechanics, food processing, etc. Typically, at Tiger VN, according to the plan, in 2026, Tiger VN will expand its investment and need to recruit about 200 more high-quality human resources.

Create an environment that connects businesses and employees

Recently, Dong Nai province organized a meeting and exchange of human resources between students of universities and colleges in the province and enterprises. At the meeting, many enterprises announced their recruitment needs as well as the conditions for working for enterprises. Many enterprises met and exchanged directly with students at universities and colleges in the province.

A representative of Tokin Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Binh Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City) shared that in the context that enterprises are focusing on converting production technology to meet market requirements, especially the world's leading markets such as European countries, the United States, Japan, etc., the demand for recruiting high-quality labor in enterprises is increasing. In addition to the need for high-quality human resources to meet the demand for converting production technology, many enterprises are worried about the labor shortage because the northern provinces are currently promoting investment attraction, many enterprises with large projects, needing labor resources have invested capital in industrial parks in the North. Many workers in the northern and central provinces working in Dong Nai have returned to their hometowns to be closer to their families and reduce living expenses. Therefore, it is forecasted that the labor shortage in enterprises will continue in the coming time. Enterprises really need coordination to provide high-quality labor resources from vocational training facilities, through organizations in the province...

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung said that Dong Nai is focusing resources on the target of double-digit growth. Therefore, the province is very interested in training and developing human resources, especially quality human resources in the industrial sector to improve productivity and quality. The province requires enterprises and business associations to continue to support schools in the province in training and developing high-quality human resources, contributing to improving the quality of human resources to meet the needs of enterprises in the province's industrial parks.
