Dong Thap province will apply a new land price list for the first time, effective from January 1, 2026.

On December 31st, the 10th term of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Council held its 8th session to consider and issue important resolutions, creating a legal basis and driving force for socio-economic development in 2026 and the following years.

Speaking at the session, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Council, Chau Thi My Phuong, stated that 2026 is a year of special significance, as it will be the year of the 14th National Congress of the Party and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly, as well as the election of deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Therefore, the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors, and localities to promptly concretize the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council into specific plans and programs immediately after the session. At the same time, they should clearly assign tasks, timelines, and responsibilities; and focus on decisive leadership right from the beginning of 2026.

Regarding the Resolution on the Land Price List to be applied for the first time from January 1, 2026, the Provincial People's Committee is requested to focus on directing the timely and complete announcement, dissemination, and guidance on the implementation of the Land Price List, ensuring uniformity and compliance with regulations, and preventing negative incidents or complaints. During the implementation process, continue to review and assess the actual situation to make timely additions and adjustments as appropriate.

At the same time, we must meticulously and solemnly prepare meaningful activities to celebrate the Party and the Spring Festival 2026, welcoming the traditional Lunar New Year, such as: effectively implementing social welfare policies, caring for the lives of the people, especially policies for those who have rendered meritorious services, and organizing activities to express gratitude and appreciation... We must also do a good job of market management, ensuring the supply of goods and stabilizing prices...

It is proposed that the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and political and social organizations widely disseminate and publicize the basic contents of the resolution to voters and the people so that voters understand and create high consensus in its implementation; Provincial People's Council representatives should strengthen contact with voters, closely monitor the situation at the grassroots level, and promptly reflect and propose solutions to pressing and prominent issues arising during the implementation of the resolutions…
