The 9th "Japan - Vietnam Festival in Ho Chi Minh City" will take place from March 9 to 10 at 23/9 Park, District 1 with main activities such as: trade exchange programs, cuisine , tourism and promotion of Vietnamese products.

There will also be a seminar and trade talks to promote Japanese tourism in Vietnam at the Nikko Saigon Hotel on March 8.

On February 29, at a press conference to inform about the festival, Mr. Ono Masuo - Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City - affirmed that the annual Vietnam - Japan Festival has demonstrated the deep relationship, friendship and understanding between the people of the two countries.

This year, in addition to the familiar series of activities, the festival will have the participation of the Japan Tourism Promotion Organization in Vietnam.

The organization's booth is expected to have many activities introducing the beauty of Japanese culture and cuisine with the hope of attracting city residents to participate, enjoy these attractions and plan a trip to Japan.

"The Japanese yen is depreciating, so Vietnamese people now have the opportunity to travel at a cheaper cost. I hope more and more Vietnamese tourists will come to Japan in the near future," said the Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

Japan is currently Vietnam's leading economic partner, ranking second in labor cooperation, third in investment and tourism cooperation, and fourth in trade cooperation.

By the end of 2023, Japan was the third largest foreign investor in Ho Chi Minh City with 1,657 projects and a total investment of more than 5.7 billion USD.

This festival will strengthen connections, promote cultural, trade and culinary exchanges between the two countries. At the same time, it will help businesses from both sides seek and promote business cooperation opportunities.
