The tournament will take place from October 7 to 12 at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Stadium, Hanoi . After two successful seasons, the tournament has become the most anticipated event in the World Nineball Tour system.

The Hanoi Open Pool Championship 2025 has a total prize pool of up to 200,000 USD, bringing together 256 participating players, including 128 people in the top rankings of the World Nineball Tour - the biggest names in the world billiards today.

Some typical names include defending champion Johann Chua, World Pool Championship champion Carlo Biado, Fedor Gorst - the owner of the Grand Slam of the world 9-ball billiards.

Vietnam has 68 representatives, with 40 players having passed the qualifying round to qualify for the competition. Leading the Vietnamese delegation is Duong Quoc Hoang - a player with stable performance.

"Returning to the Hanoi Open always gives me a very special feeling. This is not only a tournament but also where the big dream of witnessing world-class billiards for the first time in Vietnam begins to take shape," Duong Quoc Hoang shared.

Besides, the Vietnamese billiards community also puts their trust in many other promising names such as Nguyen Anh Tuan, Dang Thanh Kien, Bui Truong An and Luong Duc Thien... These players are all considered to have the potential to achieve high results in this year's tournament, especially when they compete in the enthusiastic cheering atmosphere of the home audience.

Also today, in the launching ceremony to support people to overcome damage caused by storms and floods initiated by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the Organizing Committee of the Hanoi Open Pool Championship donated 100 million VND from ticket sales to respond to this meaningful activity of the department.

Ms. Tran Thuy Chi - General Director of Viet Content and Digital Trading Joint Stock Company (Vietcontent), the co-organizer of the tournament - shared: "Hanoi Open Pool Championship is not only an international-class sports tournament, but also an event with profound social significance.

We always hope that through this tournament, sports will not only be a place for players to compete and for audiences to enjoy, but also a bridge to spread positive energy and sharing spirit in the community."
