On the morning of August 9, a working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade led by Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien worked at Delta Galil Vietnam Co., Ltd., Cat Trinh Industrial Cluster, Phu Cat District, Binh Dinh Province.
Delta Galil Vietnam's textile, dyeing and garment project is invested by Delta Galil Industries Ltd, Israel, with a total investment of 64.6 million USD (nearly 1,500 billion VND). Delta Galil Industries ' project in Vietnam was granted an investment registration certificate on January 26, 2015.
Officially put into operation in November 2016, with a capacity of 15.9 million m2 of fabric/year, the project is creating regular jobs for more than 3,600 workers with an average income of nearly 6 million VND/person.
The company uses domestic raw materials purchased from localities such as Dong Nai, Long An, Binh Duong , Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong..., in parallel with importing raw materials from China, Sri Lanka, India, Korea, Thailand...
Delta Galil Vietnam products are mainly exported to the Netherlands, the United States, China, Canada, Korea, Malaysia, India, etc.
The investor of this project plans to increase capital to 100 million USD in the near future.
Presenting to the Minister at the working session, the enterprise wishes to be facilitated in carrying out export declarations (C/O) and expanding the factory's production and business activities, as planned by the end of 2024 and early 2025.
At the same time, the representative of Delta Galil Vietnam Co., Ltd. hopes to continue receiving support from the Department of Industry and Trade and local authorities in the process of production and business activities.
Minister Nguyen Hong Dien highly appreciated Delta Galil Vietnam's investment in a factory in Binh Dinh 9 years ago, making efforts to increase production value, profits and ensure jobs for 3,600 workers.
With the characteristics of the textile industry, the Minister noted that Delta Galil Vietnam needs to properly implement its environmental commitments, ensure that the waste and wastewater treatment system at all stages from weaving to sewing meets standards and preserves the landscape and environment, ensuring that wastewater meets type A standards when discharged into the environment.
In the context of global buyers' high demands for green production and recycled products, to enhance export capacity, the Minister suggested that businesses set out a roadmap to implement greener and cleaner production transformation to meet new, stricter regulations and standards in important markets such as the EU, the United States, etc.
Regarding the proposal of enterprises in granting C/O, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien assigned the Import-Export Department to study and propose, in the spirit of creating maximum conditions for enterprises' operations in accordance with legal regulations.
