The technical infrastructure project of the residential area on 30-4 Street (Thanh Nhat Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province) has a total investment of 350 billion VND, invested by the Dak Lak Provincial Land Fund Development Center. The project is expected to complete the infrastructure of the residential area, gradually renovate and embellish the urban area. At the same time, it will create a land fund to attract investment resources and increase state budget revenue, and limit illegal housing construction on agricultural land.

The project started in 2020 and is expected to be completed by 2024. However, after many years of construction, the project is still not completed and has become a garbage dump for people around the area.

According to SGGP reporters, the project has only implemented internal roads, sidewalks and some power lines. Most of the internal roads have become garbage collection points. In addition, garbage dumps are also scattered throughout the project area.

In particular, this area has also become a stopping place for drug addicts to inject drugs. Around the project area, needles can be seen thrown everywhere.

Mr. Vu Thanh Hung, Director of the Dak Lak Province Land Fund Development Center, said that up to now, the project's construction volume is about 20%. The reason for the delay lies in the difficulties in site clearance.
According to Mr. Vu Thanh Hung, taking advantage of the time the project was suspended and there was no one to look after it, people and nearby factories dumped garbage and construction waste. The unit will organize the collection and cleaning of waste in the project area. At the same time, there will be a document requesting local authorities to coordinate to strengthen inspection and strictly handle cases of spontaneous waste dumping when they are discovered.
