Today, June 1st, the northern region (except Quang Ninh and Hai Phong ) and the central provinces are experiencing a widespread heatwave with temperatures at 1 PM reaching 35-36 degrees Celsius.
Many places recorded temperatures above 36 degrees Celsius, such as Yen Chau (Son La) 37.5 degrees, Bac Me (Tuyen Quang) 37 degrees, Bao Lac ( Cao Bang ) 36.6 degrees, Hoi Xuan (Thanh Hoa) 36.6 degrees, Con Cuong (Nghe An) 36.3 degrees, and Huong Son (Ha Tinh) 36.3 degrees.

The lowest relative humidity during the day will fluctuate between 50-55%.
The hot, sunny period lasts from approximately 11 AM to 4 PM daily. The UV index reaches levels that are very harmful to people's health. The forecast indicates that this widespread heatwave will last for several more days in the North and Central regions of Vietnam.
However, according to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, this heatwave is unlikely to be as severe as the one that occurred from May 23-28. In the North, from June 4-7, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, with localized moderate to heavy rainfall.
Forecasts for June indicate that hot weather will be prolonged and more intense during the first half of the month. Hot spells may still occur in the latter half, but they will be less intense and shorter in duration.
Previously, from May 23-28, the North and Central regions experienced a heatwave of intense to exceptionally intense heat, with maximum temperatures ranging from 36-39 degrees Celsius, and exceeding 39 degrees Celsius in some areas.
Notably, Hanoi has consistently been the hottest city in the country during this period, with temperatures commonly ranging from 39-41 degrees Celsius, surpassing even places known as "furnaces" such as Tuong Duong (Nghe An), Hoi Xuan (Thanh Hoa), and Huong Khe (Ha Tinh).
Also in May, many weather stations across the country recorded historically high temperatures, mainly concentrated in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh - areas that typically have lower temperatures than other regions in the North.
