After the Indian government suspended a 14-month-long ban on non-basmati milled rice exports on September 28, and a day after reducing the export duty on parboiled and brown rice from 20% to 10%. India’s 2025 rice export forecast was raised by 3.0 million tonnes to 21.0 million tonnes, while the export forecasts for Brazil, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam were lowered.
