On the afternoon of April 24, Kien Giang Provincial Police announced that Duong Dong Ward Police had just returned 1 million won to a Korean tourist who dropped it at Dinh Cau beach (Duong Dong Ward, Phu Quoc City).
Previously, Mr. Tran Tin Nghia (born in 1974, in Ho Chi Minh City) was staying at a hotel in Duong To commune and picked up a wallet at Dinh Cau beach.
Inside the wallet were some assets including 1 million Korean won (equivalent to nearly 19 million Vietnamese dong), credit cards and many personal documents. Mr. Nghia then brought the above assets to the police to report and ask for help in finding the person who lost the above assets.
Duong Dong Ward Police coordinated with a working group from the Immigration Management Department of Kien Giang Province Police to verify and found out that the wallet that Mr. Nghia picked up belonged to Mr. Son Yong Ho (Korean nationality) who dropped it at Dinh Cau beach.
After receiving the lost property, Mr. Son Yong Ho thanked Mr. Nghia and the police force for their support in finding the property.
