Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the morning of April 14, Mr. Le Truong Giang, director of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, said that on the morning of April 14 (the 6th day of the 3rd lunar month), many people and tourists from all over the country came to Hung Temple to offer incense on the occasion of the Hung King's death anniversary in 2024.
On Sunday morning, the weather at Hung Temple was cloudy and not too hot. Since early morning, many tourists from all over the country had been heading towards Nghia Linh Mountain.
Mr. Giang said that from around 9am, the number of visitors to the temples increased suddenly, causing signs of congestion and overload at the temple gates leading to the temples.
Therefore, the organizers set up soft fences in the courtyard area of the public house, and also separated traffic from a distance to regulate people going to the temples.
"At 11am, there were still many tourists and locals at the temples, but we regulated the flow to ensure there was no congestion when offering incense," said Mr. Giang. He said the organizing committee had not yet estimated the number of visitors to Hung Temple on the morning of April 14.
