The demand for capital for production, business, and consumption in Thai Nguyen is increasing significantly in the last quarter of the year. Credit institutions in the area are required to expand credit while controlling risks, in the context of market interest rates showing signs of gradually rising again.

According to the State Bank of Vietnam Region 5, as of October 31, 2025, the total mobilized capital of credit institutions in Thai Nguyen province reached VND 148,587 billion, accounting for 62.5% of the total capital in the region, an increase of 10.39% compared to the end of 2024.

It is estimated that by December 31, 2025, mobilized capital will reach approximately VND 153,000 billion, corresponding to a growth rate of 13.67%. Credit activities continue to maintain high growth momentum. Outstanding loans as of the end of October reached VND 157,648 billion, an increase of 17.67% compared to the end of 2024.

By the end of 2025, the total outstanding loans in the province are expected to reach VND 160,000 billion, an increase of 19.43%, indicating that capital continues to flow into the manufacturing, trade and service, industrial-construction , and agricultural sectors.

Meanwhile, interest rates are showing signs of rising, but the banking sector still prioritizes maintaining stable deposit rates. Currently, common deposit interest rates range from 1.5-4% per year for terms under 6 months and 3.7-5.85% per year for terms of 12 months or more.

The average lending interest rate is 6.92% per year, with short-term rates around 6.34%. The State Bank of Vietnam, Region 5, requires credit institutions to strengthen digital transformation, increase transparency in processes, and expedite loan application processing to ensure that capital flows more quickly to businesses and individuals during the peak production and consumption period at the end of the year.
