After being brought back to Hue City, the remains of writer Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong and poet Lam Thi My Da were placed at the Union of Literature and Arts Associations (VH-NT) of Thua Thien - Hue Province (No. 1 Phan Boi Chau, Vinh Ninh Ward, Hue City) for relatives, friends, artists and poetry lovers to visit and offer incense in memory.

Poet Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Thua Thien - Hue province, said that the memorial program for writer Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong and his wife, poet Lam Thi My Da, was jointly organized by the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Thua Thien - Hue province and their families from 2:00 p.m. today, July 30, to the end of tomorrow, July 31, at the headquarters of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of the province.
Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem, former member of the Politburo , former Head of the Central Committee's Ideology and Culture Committee, came to pay his respects as soon as the remains of writer Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong and poet Lam Thi My Da were brought back to Hue. He copied the memorial poem he had just written at Vy Da on July 30, 2023 into the condolence book.
The verses of poetry that Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem, former member of the Politburo , former Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Committee, just wrote in memory of his friend at Vy Da on July 30, 2023 were recorded in the condolence book:
" Remember the resistance day
Sitting together on Kim Phung mountain
Looking at Hue
We talk to each other
I hope the day peace returns to Hue.
More than 50 years, just keep going
Northerners and Southerners
Now you guys are back.
Rest on the hills of the past

On August 1, the remains of writer Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong and poet Lam Thi My Da will be buried at a cemetery about 2 km from the Huong River, near Vong Canh Hill.
Representatives of relatives from Bich Khe village (Quang Tri) visited writer Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong and his wife in Hue.
Writer Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong was born on September 9, 1937 (originally from Bich Khe village, Trieu Long commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri). He passed away on July 24, 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, at the age of 87.
He has been a member of the Vietnam Writers Association since 1978, former Vice President of the Tri Thien Hue Liberation Literature and Arts Association (1969); former Acting Secretary General of the Binh Tri Thien Literature and Arts Association (1986); former Chairman of the Quang Tri Literature and Arts Association, former Editor-in-Chief of Cua Viet Magazine, former member of the Editorial Board of Song Huong Magazine.

Writer Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong was awarded the State Prize for Literature and Arts in 2007; in 1980, his work Many Flames was awarded the Vietnam Writers' Association Prize. In 1999 and 2007, his memoirs Illusionary Mountain and Fragrant Grass Land were awarded the Literature Prize of the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; his memoir Illusionary Mountain won the A Prize of the Hue Ancient Capital Literature and Arts Prize (1999 - 2004), his work Fragrant Grass Land was awarded the 4th Hue Ancient Capital Literature and Arts Prize (2005 - 2009) and the Literature Prize of the Vietnam Writers' Association in 2001. In 2015, he received the first Che Lan Vien Literature and Arts Prize of Quang Tri province.
