On the morning of August 18, Duc Tho District People's Committee solemnly received the provincial-level historical and cultural relic certificate for Pham Van Lang Church.
Pham Van Lang Church is located in Loc Phuc village, Tan Dan commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province. Pham Van Lang Church is a unique construction in Ha Tinh province, with an architecture consisting of a 1-room Upper Hall, a 3-room Middle Hall lying horizontally, and a 3-room Lower Hall lying vertically. All 3 items are connected to each other through a roof system and walls built continuously, without columns. The rooms are connected by a system of arched doors.
According to the family tree, Pham Van Lang, alias Loc Phong, was born in 1859, the 13th year of Tu Duc, Nguyen Dynasty, in a poor family in Nhan Thi village, Phung Cong commune, Dong Cong canton, now Tan Dan commune, Duc Tho district. He passed the provincial examination at Nghe An examination school and was appointed as an official under the Nguyen Dynasty. He made many contributions to his homeland in many fields.
With its cultural and historical values, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province issued Decision No. 1985/QD-UBND dated August 15, 2024, ranking Pham Van Lang Church as a provincial-level historical-cultural relic.
