This morning, the Ministry of Public Security held a launching ceremony for the "Protecting and Supporting Children's Development in the Online Environment" program. This is a practical activity aimed at realizing Decision No. 468/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the Child Protection Program for the period 2026-2030, focusing on comprehensive solutions to proactively prevent, detect early, and stop potential risks of child abuse in the online environment.
Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra attended the ceremony. In recent times, many localities and schools across the country have paid great attention to digital skills education , building online safety skills, and preventing and combating school violence and cyberbullying among children.
However, in the context of the explosive and rapid development of technology, especially the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI), combined with the anonymity and cross-border nature of the internet, controlling and addressing child abuse in cyberspace is becoming increasingly complex and challenging.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Trong Nghia, working at the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of the Ministry of Public Security, emphasized that launching the national program to protect and support children's development in the online environment for the period 2026-2030 is an important continuation of the program for the period 2021-2025, which was implemented according to Decision No. 830/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
This event also marks a crucial strategic shift, as forces are no longer focused solely on handling incidents after they occur, but are instead maximizing preventative measures and proactively detecting and mitigating potential harm to children from the outset.
According to the roadmap, the program aims to achieve the goal of 100% of general education institutions implementing comprehensive cybersecurity solutions by 2030 to support management and protect students; and 100% of businesses providing Internet access services in Vietnam integrating solutions to block harmful information directly on the network.
Contributing his perspective on implementation solutions, Mr. Vu Duy Hien, Deputy Secretary General and Chief of Office of the National Cybersecurity Association, affirmed that child protection efforts today will no longer be limited to mere slogans but have shifted strongly towards practical actions to effectively implement Decision No. 468/QD-TTg.
As a bridging organization, the National Cybersecurity Association will closely connect state management agencies with the business community, schools, and parents to provide practical support and protect the safety of children.
In the context of the ongoing national digital transformation, establishing a protective environment for children online has become an urgent requirement, creating a solid foundation to help future generations develop safely, confidently, and creatively in an ever-expanding digital world.
