Live broadcast of the Opening Ceremony of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026

The opening ceremony of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival DIFF 2026 will take place at the stage by the Han River on Tran Hung Dao Street (Son Tra Ward). Spectacular artistic performances and modern stage technology displays promise to "heat up" the city center before the opening of the most anticipated summer festival of the year.

With the theme "Danang - United Horizons - Connecting Horizons," the opening stage of this year's Danang International Fireworks Festival made a strong impression thanks to its scale and state-of-the-art performance technology.

The area along the Han River will be enveloped in light, music , and multi-layered performance effects, creating a "crossroads of light" in the heart of the coastal city.

Famous Vietnamese music stars promise an opening night that will not only be visually stunning with a light show competition between the host team Da Nang, Vietnam and the defending champion China, but also explosive with an incredibly captivating concert.

The highlight of the opening ceremony stage was the large-scale mechanical stage system with a central lifting arch over 40m wide and over 10m high, the first of its kind to be put into operation at DIFF. Along with this were five independently or synchronously moving mechanical arch systems, creating a continuously changing performance space. Stage movements were performed at high speed, allowing for flexible changes in the setting in real time.

The opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2026) will be the most anticipated showdown of this year's fireworks competition, between the host team - Da Nang, Vietnam - and the Chinese team. Many special tactics and techniques will be showcased by both teams, promising a dramatic and exciting night.

DIFF 2026 is considered the "All-Star" season of the global fireworks industry, bringing together 10 strong teams from 8 countries and territories. In particular, DIFF being included in Travel + Leisure's list of the 9 most worthwhile festivals on the planet further boosts Da Nang's summer this year.

The opening night of DIFF 2026 will officially take place on the evening of May 30th and will be broadcast live on VTV1 from 8:10 PM. We invite you to watch!
