The 851 students honored at the ceremony were those who had excelled in winning prizes at international Olympic competitions; outstanding students at all levels; students with outstanding achievements at the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2024-2025 school year; students who won national prizes in the student startup idea competition in the 2024-2025 school year.
For example: Nguyen Duc Thai, a 10th grader from Viet Duc High School, won the second prize at the International Science and Engineering Competition (ISEF 2025) and the first prize at the National Science and Engineering Competition; Nguyen Ba Linh, a 12th grader from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, won the Silver medal at the 17th International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad in Brazil; Le Tung Lam, a 10th grader from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, won the Silver medal at the 2024 Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO).
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, emphasized that last school year, Hanoi's education had many improvements, continuing to affirm its leading quality in key education, and mass education was also improved.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the city has invested in building and establishing 35 new schools; continuing to invest in building 7 advanced and modern inter-level schools with an area of 5 hectares or more. Teachers and students of schools join hands to support and share innovative teaching methods to improve quality in all subjects.
In particular, with the number of students increasing every year, the admission process for primary schools is well organized, there is no longer the phenomenon of queuing to submit applications and drawing lots to enter public schools, creating convenience for parents and students.
Speaking to honor 851 outstanding students from across the city, Mr. Cuong asked them to bow their heads to show gratitude to their parents, who have worked tirelessly day and night to care for, support and silently sacrifice so that they can study.
“The achievements that students have today are thanks to the care and education of their parents. Please share today’s glory with your parents and loved ones,” said Mr. Cuong.

Vice Chairwoman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha requested the Department of Education and Training and localities to continue to increase social resources to invest in school facilities and gradually modernize schools.
The school improves the overall quality of students, focusing on solutions to make English the second language in schools and develop students' artistic talents. Continue to implement solutions to narrow the gap in the quality of education between inner city and suburbs; create equal opportunities in accessing education.
Ms. Ha expressed her hope that teachers would continuously improve their professional qualifications, students would study enthusiastically, confidently shine to achieve better results, affirm their position and bring glory to the tradition of studiousness of the Capital.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, the City People's Committee and Certificates of Merit from the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to outstanding students at all levels in the city.
