The problem appears on the social network's web version. "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working to fix this as soon as possible," Meta says when users visit Facebook.com. The problem appears to be global, reported by users around the world .

On the DownDetector website, the number of error reports for social networks increased sharply from 9:30 a.m. ( Hanoi time). At its peak, there were more than 15,000 updates from users. Below, hundreds of comments were made from accounts. They updated their locations and said they were having problems with Facebook.

Of the more than 15,000 error reports, 86% were related to the web version. With the mobile application, the world's largest social network still works normally. When trying to intervene in the user interface, switching to the mobile version, Facebook is accessible again.

After about 20 minutes of the problem, users around the world were able to use the social network normally again. Currently, Facebook and Meta have not provided any information about the above incident. During the same time, the Facebook mobile application still worked normally. Other Meta services such as Messenger, Instagram, Threads... were not affected.

Facebook has had few problems in recent months, but before that, the social network was plagued with problems. Troublesome news feed distribution, the transition from Feed to Home, and end-to-end security updates on Messenger caused a lot of trouble for users.

Currently, the platform still maintains its position as the largest social network on the planet with more than 3 billion average monthly users. New features like Reels are starting to show their effectiveness, fighting against the expansion of TikTok. CEO Mark Zuckerberg also updated Facebook's information censorship policy, after President Donald Trump was elected.
