On its homepage, FIFA posted a picture of Dinh Bac celebrating the opening goal alongside captain Van Khang, accompanied by a short but meaningful caption: "A good start leads to a good finish."

That message perfectly reflected the performance of coach Kim Sang Sik's team. Despite being considered the underdog against U23 Jordan, U23 Vietnam entered the match with confidence, controlled the game, and created continuous pressure from the very first minutes.
The reward came in the 15th minute, when VAR determined that a Jordan player had handled the ball in the penalty area, and Dinh Bac accurately converted the penalty kick.
The opening goal helped the Vietnam U23 team play more and more fluidly. Before halftime, Hieu Minh capitalized on Van Khang's corner kick to increase the score to 2-0, creating a significant psychological advantage. In the second half, the West Asian team launched a full-scale attack, but the Vietnam U23 defense held firm.
