The appeal of the "Come My Way" music video extends beyond the domestic market. Sơn Tùng M-TP's new project has also attracted the attention of many international newspapers.
Forbes magazine noted that Son Tung M-TP is expanding his career through collaborations with Western artists, while simultaneously bringing Vietnamese culture closer to the international public.

According to Forbes, Son Tung M-TP is one of the most successful artists in contemporary Vietnamese music . Dubbed the "Prince of V-pop" or "King of V-pop" of the current generation, the 31-year-old singer, songwriter, and actor has dominated the Vietnamese and Asian music markets since his debut in 2011.
"Son Tung M-TP's music has a unique style, combining elements of Vietnamese folk music with R&B, soul, hip-hop, pop, hyper-pop, EDM, and tropical house, creating a modern sound while still honoring the cultural identity of his homeland," Forbes wrote.
Forbes considers the collaboration between Son Tung M-TP and Tyga to be an interesting fusion of Vietnamese popular music and American hip-hop. Beyond the musical aspect, the project also holds cultural significance, as Tyga is an artist with Vietnamese heritage.
Speaking to Forbes, Tyga said that participating in Come My Way helped him connect more deeply with his roots. “As someone with Vietnamese blood, I’ve always been proud of that. Celebrating that identity through an internationally acclaimed musical project like Come My Way is truly a meaningful experience. What we created is a meeting of many cultures in the most authentic way,” the rapper said.

The article also devotes considerable space to analyzing the Vietnamese cultural details that appear in the music video. According to Forbes, the bronze Lac bird image appearing in the center of Los Angeles is one of the most prominent symbols of the work. In addition, there are scenes inspired by Xuan Pha art, Trang An scenic area (Ninh Binh), the Bay Nui bull racing festival ( An Giang ), the image of water buffaloes, and the Vietnamese ao dai dress.
Forbes noted that the music video creates a contrast but also an intersection between two worlds . On one side is the cultural space of Vietnam with its traditional symbols, and on the other is the image strongly influenced by American hip-hop, associated with Tyga and the city of Los Angeles.
Notably, Forbes places Son Tung M-TP within the general trend of many Asian artists incorporating national cultural identities into their music to reach a global audience. The magazine cites examples such as BTS with their Korean cultural elements or Lisa with traditional Thai symbols in her music video "Lalisa."
"Now, Son Tung M-TP is bringing Vietnamese culture to Western media," Forbes commented.

The newspaper also reiterated that Tyga is not the first American artist to collaborate with Son Tung M-TP. Previously, the singer had collaborated with legendary rapper Snoop Dogg on the song "Give It To Me," released in 2019.
According to Forbes, Sơn Tùng M-TP's continuous collaborations with international artists demonstrate his ambition to take Vietnamese music beyond borders. The singer stated that he wants to further expand the influence of Vietnamese music and send a message to global audiences about pursuing one's dreams.
"I hope to inspire people to never give up on their dreams, no matter how impossible or different they may seem," Sơn Tùng M-TP shared.
