At the workshop "Artificial Intelligence - New driving force for Da Nang's development" organized by the Da Nang People's Committee on May 9, Mr. Vu Anh Tu - Director of Technology of FPT Corporation said that in August 2025, FPT will mark 20 years of investment in Da Nang and make important contributions to the development of the city's IT industry.

Mr. Vu Anh Tu spoke at the workshop.

On this occasion, according to the plan, FPT will carry out a program that, according to Mr. Vu Anh Tu, is “unprecedented” in Vietnam. That is, FPT will invite more than 300 leaders of leading technology enterprises in the world from the US, Japan, Germany, Korea, etc. to the Han River City.

“These are top leaders, who are implementing digital transformation, AI transformation of the largest companies in the world coming to Da Nang to sign cooperation agreements with FPT. They will also witness Da Nang becoming a “capital” of technology on the world map,” said Mr. Vu Anh Tu.

According to him, Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular need to attract the world's leading technology companies to set up data centers, AI centers, etc. Da Nang has many advantages in terms of strategic geographical location. In the near future, in 2026, Da Nang will have two partners connecting Vietnam with the world via the information superhighway.

Da Nang currently has very good infrastructure with high-tech zones, concentrated IT zones, software parks... At the same time, Da Nang has a team of IT personnel that accounts for a fairly large proportion of the total workforce, currently twice the average proportion of the whole country.

“These are extremely favorable conditions for Da Nang. In particular, we believe that Resolution 136 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang City is a very good premise to promote breakthroughs, bringing Da Nang to a worthy position on the world's technology map,” Mr. Vu Anh Tu emphasized.

He said that up to now, FPT has more than 10,000 staff serving in the IT and high-tech sectors in Da Nang. They contribute more than 60% of the total software export value of this city to the world's leading advanced countries such as Japan, Korea, etc., in high-tech sectors such as insurance, smart cars, etc.

Recently, at the 23rd session (special session) on April 26, the 10th Da Nang People's Council passed a resolution recognizing FPT (along with Marvell Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd.) as a strategic partner in the field of semiconductor chips and AI. FPT committed to supporting Da Nang in software, hardware, human resource training and content to develop semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence, and long-term development in the city for a minimum of 5 years.

“We believe that in the next 20 years, Da Nang will have many more development opportunities, so FPT is continuing to invest heavily in this city. FPT has built a semiconductor and high-tech R&D center at Da Nang Software Park No. 2, and will continue to invest in data center technology worth about 850 billion VND in the near future…”, said Mr. Vu Anh Tu.
