Supporting equipment worth more than 1.6 billion VND for schools in border areas

(DN) - On the afternoon of August 29, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province organized a reception for support for disadvantaged and border schools in the province. Accordingly, there are 5 units supporting with a total value of more than 1.6 billion VND. Of which, Dong Nai Province Young Entrepreneurs Association supported 200 gifts worth 200 million VND; Lac Hong University and Lac Hong Secondary and High School supported 40 sets of computers, tables and chairs, network equipment, network cabinets and accompanying electronic supplies with a total value of 300 million VND; Dong Nai University of Technology supported 90 sets of computers worth 1.05 billion VND; Dong Nai Books and School Equipment Joint Stock Company supported preschool books, reference books, student notebooks, pens, stationery worth more than 100 million VND.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Tan Phu said: Dong Nai province has 8 border communes, many schools are still in difficulty. The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee thanks the units that have accompanied and supported resources for these schools and committed to promptly delivering the support to the right addresses. At the same time, he expressed his hope that in the coming time, more organizations, units, and benefactors will participate and support resources to join hands in building schools that develop and meet national standards.

The units said that in the coming time, they will continue to coordinate and provide maximum support for the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Department of Education and Training. In particular, Lac Hong University, in addition to supporting equipment, also wishes to organize AI training courses for teachers and students in remote areas; support and advise teachers and students to participate in science and technology competitions.
