In addition, the workshop included discussion sessions on the following topics: Strategic technologies of the era of growth; the needs and current status of science and technology information for the business community, universities, research institutes, etc.

In his opening remarks at the workshop, the Director of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Vu Hai Quan, stated: The Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City highly values the fundamental role of the science and technology information sector in building Vietnam's science and technology foundation. In today's digital and globalized era, science and technology information is the key to unlocking knowledge, a bridge connecting scientists and research institutions with the most advanced scientific achievements in the world.

Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Huynh Thanh Dat shared: The workshop is a forum for scientists, managers, businesses, and media agencies to exchange ideas, provide feedback, and propose solutions, focusing on assessing the current state of access to and sharing of science and technology information, analyzing trends and impacts of new and emerging technologies, improving the quality of information systems at universities and research institutes, and proposing appropriate mechanisms and policies for managing, exploiting, and effectively applying science and technology information.
"The topics discussed this time are both urgent and of long-term value, contributing to providing important scientific and practical arguments for the leadership, guidance, and policy planning of the Party and the State in the new period," Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat emphasized.
