FPT Software participates in developing large language models for the semiconductor industry

On July 17, SemiKong, the world's first open-source large language model (LLM) dedicated to the semiconductor industry, was launched with the expectation of optimizing semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies, quickly exploiting the potential of this $500 billion industry in the next five years.

SemiKong outperforms general language models such as GPT and Llama3 in terms of accuracy, coherence, and understanding of semiconductor processes. Each version of SemiKong has significantly improved the pace of innovation and reduced costs across the entire semiconductor value chain. SemiKong can also help lower the cost of semiconductor manufacturing, which will directly benefit consumers through lower costs for smartphones, laptops, and smart home devices in the coming years.

This is the result of cooperation between members of the World AI Alliance including AITOMATIC, Tokyo Electron (TEL) andFPT Software (a member company of FPT Corporation). Possessing solid technological capabilities and knowledge, FPT Software participates in building infrastructure resources and refining the semiconductor platform model for SemiKong.

With SemiKong, FPT Software can further enhance service values ​​and bring innovations to customers, such as customizing AI for each specialized field and/or hosting the platform model for community use. At the same time, FPT Software also plans to use the solutions of partners applying the SemiKong model to build intelligent chip design assistants for chip manufacturing customers in the future.
