The overall progress of the Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway project has reached 80.3%. Specifically, package CP03 – the construction of tunnels and underground stations – has achieved over 50% of its volume.
According to the Hanoi Urban Railway Project Management Board, packages CP01 - viaducts, CP02 - elevated stations, CP04 - depot infrastructure, and CP05 - depot architecture have been basically completed.
Package CP03 - tunnels and underground stations reached 50.2%; package CP06 - railway 1 reached 91.5% (underground section not yet requiring construction as planned); package CP07 - railway 2 reached 47.1% (underground section 10.61%); package CP08 - railway 3 reached 73.2% (underground section 1.33%); and package CP09 - ticketing system reached 84.0% (underground section not yet requiring construction as planned).
The Metro subway station is taking shape more clearly now.
For the underground section, the contractor has completed 73.04% of the ramp construction; station S9 is 51.7% complete, the vertical shaft is 41.74% complete; stations S10, S11, and S12 (including the transfer road and garage) are 65.2%, 58.97%, and 43.2% complete, respectively.
In addition, construction activities are taking place on all construction sites. Specifically, station S10 is currently undergoing exterior structural work. Station S11 is under construction of the base slab. Station S12 is under construction of the waterproofing system on the southern side of the top slab; the transfer lanes and garage are undergoing construction of retaining walls and road restoration; and excavation and construction of the box tunnel structure are simultaneously underway in the underground ramp area.
Regarding TBM No. 1, 625 meters of tunnel have been constructed so far, and 420 tunnel lining rings have been installed. TBM No. 2 is expected to begin construction in early January 2025.
Previously, on August 8, 2024, Hanoi city put into commercial operation the 8.5km elevated section of the line from Station S1 (Nhon) to Station S8 (Cau Giay) to serve passengers.
