According to 9to5Google , a series of marketing images that appear to be used in the retail sector posted by Evan Blass show a series of new AI-focused features coming to the Galaxy S24 series. This includes the previously announced Live Translate feature for phone calls, using AI to improve night zoom capabilities, or the AI-powered Note Assist feature in the Samsung Notes app.
The successor to the Galaxy S23 series will bring impressive update support time
The document also mentions the display specifications, which include a 6.8-inch QHD+ on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, a 6.7-inch QHD+ on the S24+, and a 6.2-inch FHD+ on the S24. All three offer 2,600 nits of brightness. The Galaxy S24+ and S24 feature a 50MP main camera, while the S24 Ultra has a 200MP main camera. The Ultra version uses a titanium frame, while the other versions use an aluminum frame.
Another special feature offered by Google is “Circle to Search” which is also present on the product, allowing to search for any image, video or text on the screen. It seems to be a new form of Google Lens. It is shown with the S Pen, but it is unclear if that is the only way to use this feature.
Additionally, the relationship between Samsung and Google also extends to the Google Assistant Bard expected to be available on the Galaxy S24 series.

Notably, the Android Headlines report also said that Samsung will follow Google's lead and support the Galaxy S24 series with up to 7 years of Android updates. The company currently supports its recent high-end products with 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security patches. Increasing the Android update support period would not be too surprising since that is the strategy Google is applying on the Pixel 8.
The report also mentions that Galaxy AI features are "free" until 2025, implying that Samsung may choose to charge a subscription fee for some features on its AI engine, although details are scarce.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S24 series on January 17 and has now opened a pre-order program with a $50 discount for pre-order customers.
