Recently, many reports have revealed that Samsung is developing new generation Galaxy S25 phones.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo: Qualcomm will likely be the sole SoC supplier for the Samsung Galaxy S25 due to lower-than-expected Exynos chip yields.

Currently, the Galaxy S24 uses 40% of the chipset from Qualcomm, the remaining 60% is handled by Samsung Exynos. Only the highest-end version, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in all markets. Meanwhile, the Exynos 2400 processor is equipped for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ everywhere in the world except the US, Canada, China and Japan.

In its 15 years of making Android phones, the only time Samsung has skipped the Exynos chip for the Galaxy S line was in 2023, with the Galaxy S23 Series. And this will likely be repeated on the S25. However, relying entirely on Snapdragon chips will create a big challenge for Samsung. Qualcomm is said to increase the price of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip by 25% to 30%. Therefore, it is very likely that the selling price of the Galaxy S25 series will also increase.

Previously, it was reported that the S25 is moving to a larger 6.36-inch display (a big jump from the Galaxy S24's 6.2-inch display). Samsung may be aiming for faster charging speeds, especially on the smallest S25 (the S24+ and S24 Ultra support 45W charging, while the S24 only supports 25W).

All of Samsung's Galaxy S25 models are said to run Google's second-generation Gemini Nano, and it could be integrated with Galaxy AI for more efficiency.
