In the context of the global energy supply chain being affected by complex developments in the Middle East, ensuring the supply of crude oil for domestic refineries is of particular importance. For Vietnam, with its high economic growth rate and ever-increasing energy demand, a smooth supply of raw materials is crucial not only for the production and processing of petroleum products but also for supporting the industrial, commercial, transportation sectors and social life.
PVOIL has many years of experience in the international crude oil and petroleum product trading sector. PVOIL plays a crucial role in connecting crude oil sources from the global market to Vietnam, serving the processing operations of domestic refineries. The shipment of nearly 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil was supplied to NSRP by PVOIL Singapore - PVOSN (a PVOIL subsidiary engaged in the international crude oil and petroleum product trading sector).

Together with other units in the Petrovietnam ecosystem, PVOIL participates in the energy value chain from exploration, extraction, and processing of crude oil to product distribution. Through a synchronized ecosystem from upstream to downstream, Petrovietnam continues to affirm its core role in ensuring a stable energy supply, meeting the socio-economic development needs of the country.
The successful transit of nearly 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil on board the AGIOS FANOURIOS I through the Middle East to Nghi Son port is not only significant commercially, but also demonstrates the efforts of Petrovietnam in general and PVOIL in particular in maintaining energy flows and enhancing national energy security amidst a world still fraught with uncertainties.
